Our team at Spillane & Reynolds Orthodontics is comprised of caring, patient-oriented healthcare professionals who have the highest level of skill and experience. Our goal is to provide a warm, caring environment to our patients, as we create their amazing smile.
We strive to stay advanced through continuing education courses and constant studies in orthodontic technology and patient care. This helps to assure that each patient receives the best orthodontic treatment and that each experience at Spillane & Reynolds is a pleasant one.

Rose Ross Treatment Coordinator
Rose has been with the practice almost from the very beginning. After many years of clinical assisting, Rose moved into the treatment coordinator position and has perfected the initial evaluation process in our office. She does a great job putting patients at ease during their first consultation appointment. In her free time, Rose loves to golf, bike ride and spend time with her husband, Ernie. Rose is talking retirement in the near future, but we are hoping that is many years away.
Val Crilley Office Coordinator
Val started with our team twenty years ago, when the practice first opened. Today as office coordinator, she keeps the office running at the top level of customer service we are known for. If there is ever a concern from a patient, parent or employee, you can count on Val to give it her full attention. Val is also responsible for overseeing the office's involvement in all school and community functions. Val and husband Kevin look forward to moving to the Upper Peninsula once daughter Ellen is in college. In her spare time, Val is an avid quilter and has published many quilt patterns.
Julie Rose Treatment Coordinator
Julie joined our office in 2006, when we heard she wanted to re-enter the orthodontic world. Julie brought with her over 8 years of experience from another office. Now that we have her, we won't be letting her go. She fills the second treatment coordinator position in our office perfectly. Along with all the new patient exams, you will also catch Julie scheduling appointments and answering phones at the front desk. After hours you might spot her out and about with Tony and the girls. Tony and Julie keep busy attending Laynie’s basketball, cheerleading and softball activities and Shae’s travel soccer and cross country matches. You will also find the family bike riding, rollerblading, or at the community hokey rink and swim club.
Debbie Jarrell Records and Sterilization
Debbie started out as our high school co-op from Oakland Technical Center. After graduating, Debbie became the full-time records and sterilization assistant and has proven invaluable. Fall 2010 Debbie will be starting the hygiene program at Baker College. Outside of the office, Debbie and husband Phil enjoy backpacking and traveling. Ask her about her recent travels to Thailand and Singapore.
Patty Gregory Insurance Coordinator
Patty joined our team in 2008 as insurance coordinator. With the ever-changing rules and limitations on insurance today, we rely on Patty to keep our office on the cutting edge. After working in many different fields, Patty joined our team and settled in. We are hoping to have her expertise in the position of insurance coordinator for a long time. Outside the office, Patty enjoys spinning classes and working out at the local fitness club. In her spare time, you can catch Patty and Russ around Novi and Northville at Shane and Shelby’s many church, sports and school (football, choir, hockey, basketball) functions. The older children Mike (Novi), Geno wife Pamela (Texas) and Nikki (Arizona) are all on their own.
Andrea Klerkx Lab Technician
It all begins and ends with Andrea. As lab technician, Andrea is responsible for the initial indirect bonding set-up, retainers, and orthodontic appliances she fabricates in our lab. With a degree from Indiana University in Dental Lab Technology, Andrea has proven a valuable asset for the office. Every day Andrea starts her day at 6:30 to make sure everything is in place and ready for all our patients. By early afternoon and after a full day's work, Andrea is ready to spend time with daughter Courtney and husband Brian. You can usually spot her at Lifetime Fitness or the local Eatery with friends.
Jackie Stiglich Orthodontic Technician
You can find Jackie, our orthodontic technician, in our office 2 days a week. With over 20 years in the orthodontic field and a personality that all the patients find comforting, we are happy that Jackie is keeping the part-time position in our office filled. Why is Jackie only part-time, you ask? Well, Jackie has a full-time job on her farm in South Lyon raising son Riley and daughter Jayme, plus full-time involvement in 4-H as well as boarding horses, cats, dogs and any other stray that comes along. In her spare time you'll find Jackie horseback riding along the country trails with husband Frank.
Lisa Umbreit Invisalign Coordinator and Clinical Assistant
With both Dr. Spillane & Dr. Reynolds being Premier Providers for Invisalign treatment, they need one full-time technician to head up that department. Meet Lisa, full-time Invisalign coordinator and orthodontic assistant. With all the latest technology in Invisalign treatment today, Lisa is kept very busy coordinating our patients' treatment. Outside of the office you may find Lisa bike riding at all the local parks or just hanging out with her teenage daughters, Nicole and Brittany. On long weekends Lisa travels to the Upper Peninsula to spend time with family.
Rachel Reynolds Clinical Assistant
Rachel joined us after many years as a dental assistant, and we're glad she changed her work field. After only a few years with us, Rachel has not only completed our orthodontic assistant team, but has also brought along many new ideas and techniques to make our office the best. Rachel also plays a big part in the office by helping out Andrea with all her lab duties during busy times. In nice weather you'll find Rachel and her three girls enjoying the outdoors camping, swimming and hiking treatment
Anne Peña Orthodontic Coordinator
Anne can often be spotted at the area sports fields cheering on her sons, Austin and Jacob. With the boys actively involved in sports, Anne's time is well scheduled. In her "off time," Anne is our full-time orthodontic assistant. With more than 24 years experience, Anne feels comfortable heading up the clinic as clinical coordinator. Anne's friendly manner makes all patients feel comfortable throughout their appointments. We can always count on Anne to bring a joke or story each day to keep the office amused. In her free time Anne enjoys bowling, gardening, and a challenging game of pool.
Courtney Teno Clinical Assistant
With us since 2004, our full-time assistant Courtney is a favorite around here. Known for her upbeat personality and constant smile, she can always be counted on to be a team player. Courtney and husband Jason‘s love for the outdoors keeps them busy. Whether horseback riding, camping, hunting or rollerblading, they never complain about boredom. Wherever you find them, you'll also find their puppies Dakota and Maddy. In October 2010 Jason and Courtney welcomed daughter Addison to the family. She now keeps them even busier.
Kathy Flynn Orthodontic Assistant
When Kathy first joined our team in 1994, she brought with her many years of experience in orthodontic assisting. Today she is tops in the field. Kathy also helps maintain all the computer imaging and x-rays in our office, and if you ever need to reach a staff member after hours, Kathy is the one you will contact. Kathy makes her home in South Lyon with grown boys Aaron and Bryan, and can often be spotted at the dog park walking Shadow, her black lab.
Sally Karl Clinical Assistant
What can we say about Sally? Sally has been on board since 1997. Quiet and carefree, Sally is the calming assistant in our office and we're happy to have her as a part-time assistant. Jim,Sally and big brother Nathaniel welcomed baby Melanie, born January 2009. Working part time is perfect for Sally and family, who travel quite often to northern Michigan to spend time with Sally's parents.
Jamie Edwards Clinical Coordinator
Fall 2008, we asked Jamie to join our team. With her soft-spoken southern drawl, Jamie makes patients feel at ease during long appointments. Jamie joins us with a history of 5 years in orthodontic assisting and rounds out the Novi team just perfectly. Jamie also travels to Rochester and is busy helping get our second location up and running as clinical coordinator. After hours and in her spare time you'll find Jamie on the golf course, or just kicking back with husband Brad enjoying life. But not for long! Jamie and Brad will welcome their first child fall of 2010, so their relaxation will then be “on hold for a while”
Amanda Tessoff Treatment Coordinator
With over a decade of orthodontic experience, Amanda joined our team in 2009.
She has knowledge in all aspects of the orthodontic office and serves as our third treatment coordinator and marketing coordinator. Amanda travels between our Novi and Rochester locations. Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a pre-Dentistry concentration from Oakland University. She loves all things Disney and had the opportunity to work at Walt Disney World during her college career. Amanda is passionate about customer service and spoke on that topic at the American Association of Orthodontists annual session in 2008 and 2009. When she’s not involved in creating amazing smiles, Amanda loves shopping, baking and spending time with her friends and family. Amanda resides in Milford with her husband Brian and Rex- the world’s cutest Pomeranian.
Debbie Gerich Scheduling Coordinator
Debbie will greet you with her friendly personality when you enter our office and she’s the last friendly face you see when you leave. As scheduling coordinator she can always find an appointment that will fit your schedule. Debbie brought her two daughters Britt and Morgan here for treatment 14 years ago - and now that both girls are in college, Debbie re-entered the work force and we are happy she came back to us. Debbie enjoys working out, spending time with friends, traveling north in the summer and visiting her parents in Florida during winter.
