Your First Orthodontic Visit
Your First Visit (Consultation)
We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment. We understand that each patient's orthodontic treatment is different and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve.
Your first orthodontic visit will consist of a clinical examination, diagnostic photos, digital x-rays and discussion of a customized treatment plan. This important visit will address your orthodontic needs to determine if this is the proper time to begin treatment. We will explain all aspects of your treatment in detail. We also provide a complete clinical diagnosis regarding the nature of the problem, a written summary of the findings, and a tentative plan that outlines your treatment, goals, and estimated fees. We encourage questions from both the patient and parent, and we provide ample time to address any concerns. There is no charge for this initial visit. If treatment is needed, an appointment for diagnostic records will be scheduled at this time.
Financial Arrangements
- Cost
- The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem.
- Payment Plans
- Prior to beginning actual treatment, we will discuss treatment fees, insurance coverage and financial arrangements in detail. We offer several different payment options: zero down, zero percent financing; a discount for payment in full at the start of treatment; a larger initial payment and lower monthly payments; or payments paid during the treatment period.
- All in-office options have no finance fee, and credit cards are accepted. We also provide information about a third-party financing company, should you choose to have payments that extend beyond treatment.

A third-party financing company offering extended-term payment options that may allow for very low monthly payment plans.- Insurance
- If you have orthodontic insurance, we will let you know your available coverage. We accept most insurance plans and will file all the necessary paperwork to your insurance company.
